QB– LSU                                  Jamarcus Russell

His play in the Sugar Bowl cemented his place at the top.  The Raiders cannot afford to pass on another QB.

QB– Notre Dame                    Brady Quinn

The hometown boy said he would love to play for the Browns.  He will get wish.

WR -  Georgia Tech              Calvin Johnson

Johnson may be the best prospect in this draft, and we all know how much Millan loves the WR’s

RB - Oklahoma                       Adrian Peterson

Too good to fall this far.  Brad Childress gets a gift in his second draft

OT- Wisconsin                        Joe Thomas

With Leinart and Edge already in the backfield, the Cards will give them some protection

DT-Michigan                            Alan Branch

Another run stopper goes once thought of in the top 10.  Boom or Bust pick.

RB– California                         Marshawn Lynch

With the trade of McGahee, the Bills are in need of a replacement.  They can’t pass on Lynch

DT - Louisville                         Amboi Akoye

He’s only 19 years old, but is fully developed and ready to start for an aging defensive125 squad

DE– Arkansas                         Jamaal Anderson

A fast riser up the boards, Anderson can really plug the middle

WR-  LSU                                 Dwayne Bowe

Bowe proved to be a solid player for four years at a top notch program.  He should step right in and start for the Titans.

WR– USC                                Dwayne Jarrett

Once though of as a top ten pick, now happy to be going to a good team

FS– LSU                                  LaRon Landry

Landry has shot up all the boards with great workouts.  Will team up with Sean Taylor to form a top notch safety combo

DE– Clemson                          Gaines Adams

This pick could be traded to Detroit for Calvin Johnson.

LB– Florida State                    Lawrence Timmons

Speed player will work well on Edward Jones Domes turf

OT– Penn State                      Levi Brown

David Carr must be asking himself, “...now you start drafting linemen…?”

FS– Florida                              Reggie Nelson

Didn’t have a great combine, but came back with a solid pro day to keep him in the top 20.  Favre pissed.

WR– Ohio State                      Ted Ginn, JR

Jags don’t pass on this one. They will run to the table with this card faster than Ginn on a KR

TE– Miami (FL)                       Greg Olsen

Olsen gives the Panthers QB tandem of Delhomme and Carr a downfield threat

DE– Florida                             Jarvis Moss

Played his way into round one in the BCS Championship game

CB– Pittsburgh                        Darrelle Revis

The Defensive secondary was the weak spot on a good defense last year.  Wade Phillips will want to solve that weakness

CB– Michigan                          Leon Hall

Giant’s fans thankful that he’s not named Will

OT– Texas                               Justin Blaylock

Big guy will keep Grosseman (or whoever) upright and help run game

DE—Purdue                            Anthony Spencer

For the first 16 games, Indy couldn’t stop the run

SS– Texas                               Michael Griffin

Year in, year out, the def. backfield is Pats weak link.

DE– Nebraska                         Adam Carriker

Much like the pick of a decade ago when the Niners took Bryant Young, Carriker fills the D-line.

LB– Penn State                       Paul Posluzny

Perfect fit for tough town like Philadelphia.  Play inside or out

CB– Texas                               Aaron Ross

Will help in return game as well.  This is a need position on the Jets

WR– Tennessee                     Robert Meacham

Ideal size, and speed, and the Bolts’ wide receivers stink.

LB-Ole Miss                             Patrick Willis

LB core needs to replace Al Wilson, Willis a great fit.

CB—Arkansas                        Chris Houston

Saints struggled in the defensive backfield last season, Houston a good press corner

OL– Central Michigan           Chris Staley

Patriots always looking to build the core

LB– Florida State                    Jon Beason

Looks to learn at the knee of the master, Ray Lewis
